Optx Defeats 3D.NY

Unfortunately for 3D.NY, tonight was not their night as they were shutout by the Optx who won the final definitively. Losing both Inferno and Dust2, 3D.NY just didn't look like themselves tonight and San Francisco was the better team at the end of the night. What the future holds for 3D.NY and the 3D brand is still up in the air, but as one door closes, surely another will open.

 

Dallas Wins In Double-Overtime

Just when it looked like 3D.NY was going to turn their luck around on nuke, their luck ran out. After both teams clocked in 8-4 halves, these two titans battled it out in OT and once more, they leveled the score at 4 a piece, thus forcing a second overtime. Unfortunately for 3D, it didn't work out as planned and Dallas walked away with a tight win. Although they lost, the guys have to be pleased as it seems they've improved their skill level on Nuke.

 

3D.NY Downs Complexity, Falls To Cyber Rev

Winning when it mattered most, 3D.NY lived up to their reputation on Season and sent Complexity packing. A 10-7 win puts 3D.NY in the Finals against San Francisco on Tuesday, and advances them one step closer to the $5,000 Grand Prize. Following their victory, the guys did their best to keep the streak alive and beat Cyber Rev, but they just couldn't find a way to win. Stay tuned...


 

San Francisco Downs 3D.NY

Just when I thought 3D.NY was unbeatable, San Francisco came in and proved me wrong. Fortunate to start on the counter-terrorist side, the Optx held 3D to only 2 rounds in the first half. However, 3D.NY battled back, nearly forcing overtime. Tonight's loss will knock 3D.NY down to the lower-bracket and San Francisco will advance into the Grand Finals.

 

3D.NY Sweeps Complexity

Looking to keep their playoff run alive, 3D.NY did just that tonight against Complexity. In what turned out to be a double-header for both CGS and CEVO, 3D.NY began the night on de_season where they jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Next up, 3D.NY put up a respectable first half on Russka for CEVO which was matched by Complexity, forcing OT.

 

3D.NY Victorious, Complexity Next

Another day, another win. 3D.NY didn't even seem to break a sweat tonight as they trounced the #5 seed, Dynamic, 10-4. Looking ahead, 3D.NY will now face their long time rivals, the LA Complexity who surprised everyone by defeating the Dallas Venom tonight. This match has the makings of an instant classic and will take place on de_3d, also known as de_season. Stay tuned....
